3D printing or additive manufacturing processes give companies the ability or opportunity to react flexibly to market changes and thus realize individual customer requirements, spare parts and small series economically. The possible applications are very diverse and 3D printing is already being used in the fields of mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace and numerous other sectors such as medical technology, construction, landscaping and the consumer goods industry. The demand for individualization is increasing, while development times and product life cycles are becoming ever shorter. In order to meet these requirements, it is necessary to know the potential and possibilities of additive manufacturing in order to be able to use itproductively .
What content is taught in the basic course?
- Getting to know the potential of additive manufacturing (demonstration of various practical applications)
- Development of new business models through additive manufacturing
- Getting to know different additive manufacturing processes
- Where additive manufacturing or 3D printing is already being used
- Getting to know industrial FDM & SLA 3D printers (established brands such as Formlabs, Raise3D, 3DGence, Intamsys and co.)
- Brief introduction to materials science (which materials are available and where they are used)
- Demonstration of the process from the CAD file to the finished 3D printed object

The seminar is aimed at all those who are considering integrating additive manufacturing (3D printing) into their business processes and need professional support in doing so
What does the course look like ?
The seminar takes place at our location in Nuremberg and comprises 8 teaching units (45 minutes each).
Start: 09:00 a.m.
End: 4:00 p.m.
Catering is included in the training price.
Each participant will receive their own PC for the duration of the training so that they can directly implement the content shown.
