CarbonX PC+CF is an extremely high-performance filament that reinforces polycarbonate with carbon fibers. It is the ideal choice for those who require components with high heat resistance, excellent stiffness rigidity, outstanding surface quality and dimensional accuracy. Polycarbonate already has a naturally high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 147°C and is one of the materials with the best thermal properties on the properties on the 3D printing market.

The benefits of CarbonX PC+CF include:

- Excellent thermal properties: Polycarbonate itself has a high Tg of 147°C, which provides excellent heat resistance.

- Low, almost isotropic shrinkage: The material has an material has an amorphous structure, which results in low shrinkage and high dimensional stability. and high dimensional stability.

- Stiffness and dimensional stability: The addition of carbon of carbon fiber reinforcements improves the already good stiffness and stability of the material. stability of the material.

- Low odor emission: During the printing process, CarbonX CarbonX PC+CF hardly causes any unpleasant odors.

- Wide processing range: The filament can be processed be processed in a temperature range of 280-310°C.

Recommended print settings:

Extruder: 280-310°C

Plate temperature: 110-120°C

Nozzle: We recommend the use of a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4 mm.

Notes on layer height:

The ideal layer height is 60% of the nozzle diameter. We do not recommend applying layers of less than 0.2 mm with this carbon fiber-reinforced filament.

Preparation of the printing plate:

It is recommended to use adhesive or poly tape on the printing plate on the printing plate.

The use of a heated chamber is recommended.

For complex parts, water-soluble AquaTek X1 USM is excellent for complex parts.

The filament should be dried at 120°C for 4 hours before printing. before printing.

Please note that this filament is particularly abrasive. Standard brass nozzles can wear out more quickly. To avoid problems with the extrusion, we strongly recommend using a hardened steel nozzle instead of a softer steel nozzle instead of a softer metal nozzle. Hardened steel dies are inexpensive and are often easy to install according to the printer printer manufacturer's instructions.
